Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Musa Ibn Abdullah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Budda Baker! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Baker tries for a takedown but Ibn Abdullah sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ibn Abdullah misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Baker.
Ibn Abdullah throws a push kick but Baker slaps the foot to one side. Ibn Abdullah misses with a takedown attempt and Baker counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Baker ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Baker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Baker wants to stand and escape but Ibn Abdullah is having none of it. Ibn Abdullah throws a big elbow that misses. Baker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ibn Abdullah is aware though and is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ibn Abdullah advances to half guard. Baker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ibn Abdullah's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ibn Abdullah's back! Ibn Abdullah turns into Baker and is now in his guard.

Ibn Abdullah passes Baker's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Ibn Abdullah slows the pace down in half guard. Baker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ibn Abdullah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ibn Abdullah decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. A chopping leg kick lands by Ibn Abdullah. Ibn Abdullah fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Baker avoids it really well and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ibn Abdullah fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Musa Ibn Abdullah. That's going to take a lot out of him. Baker circles away from the clinch attempt and Baker counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ibn Abdullah! Ibn Abdullah bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ibn Abdullah closes the distance looking to clinch and Baker counters with a left to the body. Baker fails with the takedown and Ibn Abdullah counters with a low kick, right behind Baker 's knee. Baker looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ibn Abdullah throws a right hand that Baker ducks under and follows up with a left that Baker also avoids with ease. Baker stuffs the takedown attempt from Ibn Abdullah. Ibn Abdullah gets slowly back to his feet. Baker closes the distance and clinches. Baker prevents the takedown attempt.
Ibn Abdullah is trying to drag Baker to the mat but Baker just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Ibn Abdullah takes a shot to the head. Ibn Abdullah misses the shot to the body. Ibn Abdullah shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Ibn Abdullah performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Ibn Abdullah wants to take a breather but Baker is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Musa Ibn Abdullah will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Baker gets tackled into the cage by Ibn Abdullah. Ibn Abdullah maintains the clinch. Ibn Abdullah misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Ibn Abdullah really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Baker has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ibn Abdullah uses from the top position. Ibn Abdullah in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ibn Abdullah has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Baker is proving hard to escape from. Musa Ibn Abdullah overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ibn Abdullah cracks Baker with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Baker refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Baker's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
