Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Byyler does it's job there.
Hans Byyler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Byyler goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Skrinjaric shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Skrinjaric.
Byyler takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Byyler is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Skrinjaric asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Byyler tries to improve position but can't.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skrinjaric prevents Byyler from escaping the position.
Byyler explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Skrinjaric gets a takedown into half guard.
Byyler has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Skrinjaric is on him like a limpet, forcing Byyler back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Skrinjaric is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Byyler pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Skrinjaric tries to score a body lock takedown but Byyler shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Hans Byyler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marko Skrinjaric.

Byyler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've been told by Byyler's head coaches at Double XX that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Byyler throws a series of strikes that have Skrinjaric backpedaling.
Good standup being displayed there by Byyler as he connects with a hook.
Skrinjaric shoots in but Byyler avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Byyler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Byyler scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Byyler drives through and clinches with Skrinjaric against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee is keeping an eye on Byyler - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Byyler takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

A head kick from Byyler lands but Skrinjaric takes it in his stride.
Skrinjaric is rocked!
It looks like Marko Skrinjaric has been cut.
Byyler lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Skrinjaric falls backwards - clearly groggy! Byyler dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hans Byyler!
