Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between dakota dman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dexter Black has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
dman dodges the punch combination from Black.
The fighters circling - Black throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Black misses with a series of wild punches.

dman pushes Black up against the cage in a clinch.
Black tries to pull guard but dman won't allow it.
dman throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Black looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Black takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Dexter Black has been cut.

dman forces Black back against the cage and clinches.
Black wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but dman has him pressed against the cage.

dman plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

dman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Black keeps working.
dman sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Black is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Black is not content to let dman control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Black is looking to work his way out of this bad position but dman is controlling him well.
dman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Black has his foot on dman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. dman works his way back into a safe position though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Black is looking to stand up but dman isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

dman has Black pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Black manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that dakota dman will probably get the nod.

Black working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. dman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. dman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to dakota dman.
Well dman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
