Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trent Punchy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Constantine Kermit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Constantine Kermit was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trent Punchy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Constantine Kermit! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punchy scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kermit sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Punchy prevents Kermit from improving his position. Kermit is doing well to control the position and prevent Punchy from advancing to side control. Kermit is trying to get back to full guard. Punchy slows the pace down in half guard. Punchy throwing shots but Kermit is blocking nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Punchy is looking to advance position but Kermit won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kermit is not content to let Punchy control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kermit wants to improve his position but Punchy is controlling well.
Punchy landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Punchy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kermit keeps working. Kermit tries to get to full guard but Punchy has control of the leg. Punchy trying to control from half guard but Kermit is working away. Kermit keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kermit is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Punchy is trying to work for a kimura but Kermit is defending well.
Punchy throwing shots but Kermit is blocking nicely. Kermit is not content to let Punchy control the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Kermit wants to get back to full guard. Kermit regains full guard. Nicely done. Kermit wants to sweep here but Punchy controlling him for the moment. Kermit has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kermit is looking to sweep but instead, Punchy has passed into half guard.
Kermit keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kermit is trying to get back to full guard. Kermit blocking the ground and pound attempt from Punchy. Kermit avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Punchy. Punchy missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Punchy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Punchy throwing shots but Kermit is blocking nicely. Punchy lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Punchy with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Punchy is looking for a kimura but Kermit is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Punchy to get the leverage. Punchy is trying to control the action in half guard but Kermit is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kermit is looking to get back to full guard here but Punchy has managed to pass to side control instead. Punchy throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Punchy cracks Kermit with a big elbow. Kermit tries to buck Punchy off but Punchy is having none of it. Punchy tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Punchy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kermit, who protects the arm well. Kermit is being controlled here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trent Punchy dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kermit throws a nice outside leg kick. Kermit takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Punchy swings for the body but Kermit moves out of range.
Kermit looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. A big left from Punchy misses. Kermit scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kermit throws a head kick but Punchy moves out of range.
Punchy slips a straight right by Kermit. Kermit clinches up with Punchy and pushes him back against the cage. A short right from Punchy on the inside. Kermit wants to get back to striking at distance but Punchy won't allow it.
Punchy misses with a hook from the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kermit misses with a punch to the body.
Punchy lands an elbow just above Kermit 's eye.
It looks like Constantine Kermit has been cut. Punchy taking a breather. Kermit tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Punchy's elbow. Punchy tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kermit misses with some punches.
Kermit pushes Punchy back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kermit. Punchy has had enough of the clinch but Kermit keeps him there for the moment. Punchy lands a shoulder strike. Punchy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A good leg kick by Punchy. Kermit thows a leg kick but Punchy checks it and Punchy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kermit has his feet on Punchy's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. This has been an exciting period of action! Kermit misses the jab. Trent Punchy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Punchy drops his hands momentarily and Kermit takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Kermit fakes the leg kick and cracks Punchy in the body. Kermit ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kermit loads up on a big right hand but Punchy slips the punch. Kermit misses with an uppercut. Punchy saw that one coming. Kermit jabbing away but nothing is landing. Punchy throws a lazy uppercut
and Kermit counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Trent Punchy has been cut. Kermit swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Punchy. Punchy throws a big shot that misses. Kermit avoids the body shot from Punchy.
Punchy jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kermit gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Punchy. Punchy misses with a body shot.
Kermit misses with a low kick. Punchy tries to counter with a takedown but Kermit is quick to defend against it. Kermit looks to throw the jab but Punchy is out of range. Punchy takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kermit uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Punchy.
Kermit swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Punchy shoots in looking for a takedown. Kermit tries to sprawl out of it but Punchy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kermit manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kermit wants to slow Punchy down by chopping away at his legs. Punchy closes the distance and lands a one-two. Kermit has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Punchy finds it's way round the side to connect with Kermit's head. Punchy takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Punchy shoots in for a double leg but Kermit sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kermit throws out a counter right but Punchy avoids it with no problem. Kermit staying out of range there. Punchy loads up on a big right hand but Kermit slips the punch. Punchy misses with a body punch
and Kermit counters with a nice uppercut. Kermit looks to score with a jab to the body but Punchy is just out of range. Punchy slips a jab from Kermit. Punchy tried to counter with a leg kick but Kermit avoided it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big left from Kermit misses. Punchy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kermit stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters circling - Kermit throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Punchy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Punchy is looking to take a break and control but Kermit is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kermit keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Punchy with the ground and pound but Kermit uses the opportunity to regain guard. Punchy working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Punchy lands a couple of elbows. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Punchy forces his way into half guard. Kermit is looking to control Punchy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kermit avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Constantine Kermit will probably get the nod - 10:9. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

and Kermit counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Punchy cracks Kermit with an open hand slap. Punchy cracks Kermit with a right hand to the side of the head. Punchy lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Kermit tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Punchy was well out of range. Poor timing from Kermit. Punchy gets the takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kermit manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Still in half guard, Punchy seems content to control. Punchy missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Kermit on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Punchy throwing shots but Kermit is blocking nicely. Punchy scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Kermit wants to improve his position but Punchy is controlling well.

Kermit swivels though and keeps the full guard. Punchy throwing strikes but missing.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kermit connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Punchy just misses with a punch to the body.
Punchy sets himself, and Kermit steps forward looking for the clinch! Punchy avoids it this time. Kermit clobbers Punchy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Constantine Kermit seems to be getting the better of the standup. Punchy shoots in looking for a takedown. Kermit tries to sprawl out of it but Punchy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kermit manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kermit buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Punchy shoots in looking for a takedown but Kermit manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Punchy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kermit thinks about the counter body kick. Kermit misses with a looping left. Kermit is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Punchy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kermit counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trent Punchy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Punchy moves out of range of the strikes. Punchy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kermit's hands. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Punchy darts in looking for a takedown but Kermit gets double underhooks and turns Punchy into the cage. A little jabbing left from Kermit on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Punchy jabs Kermit to the body, keeping him at a distance. Punchy takes a swing at Kermit's ribcage but misses. Punchy throws a low kick but Kermit avoids it. Kermit is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Punchy with a body shot. Kermit connects with a leg kick. Punchy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Kermit jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Trent Punchy showed his dominance in that final round. I think Punchy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
