PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ice Tea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alessio Toddumai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ice Tea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alessio Toddumai!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toddumai scores with a shot to the body.
Toddumai jabs Tea to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Tea shoots and misses
and Toddumai counters with a nice uppercut.
Tea shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Toddumai but Toddumai pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Toddumai enables Tea to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Toddumai manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Tea drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tea jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Toddumai is looking to stand up but Tea isn't so interested in that idea.
Tea passes into half guard.
Toddumai is not content to let Tea control the position.
Toddumai wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Toddumai won't allow Tea to pass to mount.
Tea wants to control but Toddumai is keeping him busy.
Toddumai tries to kick Tea off but Tea keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Tea is looking to take a break and control but Toddumai is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've been hearing that Tea has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Toddumai wants to get back to his feet.
Tea is trying to control. Toddumai wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Toddumai manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Tea tries for a takedown but Toddumai circles away easily
and Toddumai counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ice Tea. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice body punch from Toddumai.
Toddumai uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tea has time to react.
Toddumai lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Tea doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Tea is breathing heavily.

A jab from Toddumai does it's job there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tea takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Toddumai digs a good hook to Tea's body.
Tea takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Toddumai lands a nice hook to Tea's body. Tea takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Toddumai smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Toddumai looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Toddumai scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tea doesn't seem bothered though.
Toddumai lands a slapping body shot.

Tea takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Toddumai counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Oh Tea is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Toddumai drops Tea with a huge uppercut! Tea drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Toddumai is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
