Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerard Jimenez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilson Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jimenez throws a big counter combination but Smith scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Jimenez throws a combination. Smith tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jimenez tries to counter with a takedown but Smith is quick to defend against it.

Jimenez lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jimenez throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Jimenez can't find room to land a body shot as Smith controls the action.
Smith has picked Jimenez up - he's going for a ride! Smith dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Jimenez makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Jimenez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jimenez wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Jimenez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smith lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Jimenez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Smith's guard.
Jimenez is stalling in the full guard.
Jimenez drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Jimenez off! Jimenez jumps back into Smith's guard.

Jimenez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jimenez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jimenez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Smith is working an open guard so Jimenez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Smith tries to keep at a distance but Jimenez has taken the fight into the clinch.

Jimenez manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Smith keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith has hold of one of Jimenez's legs. Jimenez is fighting the takedown attempt but Smith gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Smith throws a half hearted mid kick.

Smith takes a knee to the side of the body.
Jimenez is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Smith is breathing heavily.

Jimenez seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Smith pulls Jimenez into guard.

Jimenez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Smith, up you get!

Jimenez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jimenez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Smith tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Jimenez controlling the position well here. Smith rolled but Jimenez kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Jimenez is cranking Smith's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Smith! He's tightened the choke and Smith is tapping out!
