Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zell Dincht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Gagnon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dincht comes to the ring accompanied by Disturbed - Down With The Sickness. Gagnon has chosen Hand Clap by Fitz and the Tantrums as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Zell Dincht! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Gavin Gagnon! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gagnon misses with a head kick.
Gavin Gagnon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dincht keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Dincht takes one on the button. Dincht jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Dincht connects with the punch. No joy there for Gagnon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Nice body kick there by Dincht. Gagnon throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dincht. Dincht looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Gagnon's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dincht connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gagnon scrambles back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gagnon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dincht counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Gagnon thows a leg kick but Dincht checks it and Gagnon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Gagnon looks to throw the jab but Dincht is out of range. Gagnon pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dincht throws a quick inside leg kick. Gagnon throws a front kick that sends Dincht stumbling back into the ropes. Dincht lands a jab to the nose. Gagnon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gagnon throws a head kick that misses and Dincht makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Gagnon really felt that one! Gagnon fails to land the takedown. Dincht swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Gagnon misses with a double jab
and Dincht cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Dincht thumps Gagnon with a low kick. Dincht takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Gagnon walks into a stiff left hand from Dincht. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dincht cracks Gagnon with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Dincht has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gagnon to stand back up!
Gagnon is rocked! Gagnon throws a head kick but Dincht moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dincht keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dincht lands a nice hook to Gagnon's body. Gagnon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Gagnon seems to have recovered his senses. Gagnon throws a series of punches but Dincht avoids them all with ease. Zell Dincht is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gagnon looks to score with a jab to the body but Dincht is just out of range. A nice leg kick lands there from Dincht. Gagnon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dincht lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dincht is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Dincht lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A bone on bone clash there as Gagnon blocks the leg kick.

Gagnon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dincht circles away quickly and effectively. Dincht throws a hook but Gagnon blocks it. Gagnon moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Dincht cracks the inside of Gagnon's front leg. Gagnon throws a body punch but Dincht moves out of range. Dincht gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gagnon. Gagnon throws the left hand but Dincht avoids the punch easily. Gagnon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Zell Dincht has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gavin Gagnon.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dincht scores with a head kick. Gagnon tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Dincht takes a swing at Gagnon's ribcage but misses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dincht dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Dincht takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Gagnon throws a right hand that Dincht ducks under and follows up with a left that Dincht also avoids with ease. Gagnon misses with a takedown and Dincht counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gagnon's knee momentarily. Gagnon looks winded! Dincht scoring well with a low kick there.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dincht turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Dincht pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Dincht appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Gagnon might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Dincht has got the better of the exchanges. Gagnon goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Gavin Gagnon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dincht scores with a jab to the jaw. Gagnon swings away with a leg kick that misses. Dincht misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Gagnon misses with a takedown letting Dincht counter with a right hand. Gagnon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dincht can't do much from the bottom here. Dincht is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gagnon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Gagnon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gagnon prevents Dincht from improving his position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Dincht is concentrating on defense, preventing Gagnon from advancing position. Dincht is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Gagnon is trying to work for a kimura but Dincht is defending well.

Gagnon is trying to control the action in half guard but Dincht is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gagnon trying to mount his opponent but Dincht defends it. Gagnon is looking to take a break and control but Dincht is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dincht controlling the position for now.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gagnon throws a nice looking combination but Dincht bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dincht tries to clinch up. Dincht misses with a head kick.
Dincht fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gagnon. Dincht is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gagnon can do to turn this around? Gagnon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dincht moves away. Gagnon turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Decent striking displayed by Dincht there. A shot to the liver by Dincht. Beautiful body shot. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Gagnon - that will leave a mark!

That was a close second round but I would say that Zell Dincht will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Gagnon feints a jab promting Dincht to slip. Gagnon then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dincht slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Gagnon throws a sloppy head kick and Dincht counters with a stiff right hand. Gagnon's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Gagnon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gagnon is just content to waste time from the top position. Dincht takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Gagnon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gagnon wants to control from the top but Dincht keeps moving. Gagnon scoring with some ground and pound. Dincht is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gagnon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gagnon stays in close to Dincht's body and controls the position. Dincht keeping moving, preventing Gagnon from controlling successfully. Dincht looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Dincht is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Dincht takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Dincht dodges the punch combination from Gagnon.
Gagnon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dincht lands a nice hook to Gagnon's body. Gagnon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Gagnon throws a leg kick and Dincht counters with an outside leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gagnon throws a combination that misses and Dincht counters with a nice uppercut. Nice shot by Dincht. Dincht tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gagnon swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dincht misses with a jab, cross combination.

Dincht leaves Gagnon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Dincht with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Zell Dincht is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nice uppercut there from Dincht.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zell Dincht. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dincht, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
