PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ignacio Mcfarland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Coyne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coyne comes into a darkened arena with his song building. White America kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Charlie Coyne has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Charlie Coyne!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcfarland leaves Coyne with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Coyne shoots in looking for a takedown. Mcfarland tries to sprawl out of it but Coyne keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mcfarland manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mcfarland is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Mcfarland gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Mcfarland gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Mcfarland apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Mcfarland looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Coyne with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
