Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitaly Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guido Sarducci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sarducci has chosen Ave Maria as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Guido Sarducci!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarducci cracks Karelin with an open hand slap.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Karelin.
Sarducci misses with a straight right.
Sarducci throws a nice looking combination but Karelin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Karelin drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sarducci sprawls and moves away.
Sarducci steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Karelin.
Karelin lands a lovely overhand right.
Sarducci throws a lazy right hand but Karelin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Karelin doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Sarducci counters with a stiff right hand.
Sarducci throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sarducci throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Karelin shoots in for a double leg but Sarducci sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vitaly Karelin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sarducci lands the left hand.
Sarducci misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Karelin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Karelin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at ~T~ Troid - Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Sarducci looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Sarducci throws out a loose jab but Karelin uses good head movement to avoid it.

Sarducci takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Karelin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sarducci swings for the body but Karelin moves out of range.
Karelin defending well as Sarducci loads up on a big left hand.
Sarducci throws a body shot but no joy.
Sarducci throws a hook to the side of Karelin's head but Karelin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Karelin slips a straight right by Sarducci.
Sarducci displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Karelin throws out the jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sarducci, as that shot connected.
Karelin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Karelin scores with a takedown into Sarducci's guard.
Karelin throws an elbow that misses. Sarducci uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Karelin's guard. Nice move by Sarducci!

Sarducci must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sarducci stands up out of Karelin's guard for a moment - Karelin manages to land a nice upkick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Karelin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Karelin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sarducci's guard.

Karelin stands and throws Sarducci's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Karelin sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Sarducci is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sarducci can do anything to dispel that myth.

Karelin lands an elbow.

It looks like Guido Sarducci has been cut.
Karelin lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sarducci down.

That has opened up Guido Sarducci's cut even more.

Karelin throws a strike aimed at the side of Sarducci's head but Sarducci avoids it well.
Karelin throws an elbow but Sarducci slips to the side and avoids it well.
Sarducci is letting Karelin control him for a moment.
Karelin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sarducci some visible discomfort.

Guido Sarducci's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Guido Sarducci's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
