Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Iko Morrowind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morrowind comes to the cage accompanied by The Foggy Dew. McCarthy has chosen Chamillionaire - Ridin' ft. Krayzie Bone as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David McCarthy!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrowind misses with a series of wild punches.
McCarthy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Morrowind is fending him off so far but McCarthy persists. Nope, Morrowind circles away and we're back to standing.
McCarthy shoots in looking for a takedown. Morrowind tries to sprawl out of it but McCarthy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morrowind manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Morrowind seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
McCarthy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Morrowind manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McCarthy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Iko Morrowind has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David McCarthy.
Morrowind lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Morrowind, as that shot connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McCarthy doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Morrowind counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McCarthy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Morrowind manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McCarthy manages to get himself to full guard.

Morrowind stands and steps away. McCarthy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Morrowind looks to land a combination but McCarthy avoids it well.
No joy there for Morrowind, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Morrowind throws a monster overhand right that drops McCarthy! Morrowind follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
