Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Holer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Louis Hudson!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hudson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Holer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hudson somewhat.
Holer connects with a body shot.
Holer scores with a punch to the head.
Holer stuffs the takedown attempt from Hudson. Hudson gets slowly back to his feet.
Holer is looking to clinch but Hudson is avoiding it.
Holer lands a body shot.
Hudson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Holer lands a slapping body shot.
Hudson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Holer as he avoids it easily.
Jack Holer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis Hudson.
Holer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hudson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hudson shoots in for a takedown but Holer shows good takedown defense.
A lazy left from Holer finds it's target.
Holer lands a body shot.
Hudson fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hudson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Holer.
Holer lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Holer cracks Hudson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Holer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hudson to stand back up!
Hudson is rocked!
Holer is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Holer clinches up against the cage.
Hudson is still on wobbly legs! Can Holer finish him?
Holer lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hudson tries for a takedown but Holer manages to get underhooks.
A short right from Holer.
Holer lands with a light punch inside.
Holer creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Hudson's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Hudson drops to his knees and Holer pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Holer!
After winning the bout, Jack Holer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
