Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hamish Peter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lonny Ledee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Hamish Peter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hamish Peter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lonny Ledee!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peter scores with a decent looking hook.


It looks like Lonny Ledee has been cut.
Ledee shoots for a takedown but Peter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Peter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ledee.
Ledee avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Ledee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Peter's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Peter keeping full guard, as Ledee tries to pass.
Ledee trying to control the position from guard on top but Peter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ledee stands and throws Peter's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Ledee is trying to get an arm triangle but Peter is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ledee tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Ledee passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Peter!
Peter is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Ledee with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Peter is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ledee fails to take his opponent's back.
Ledee looks gassed!
Ledee is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Peter is in real trouble.

Ledee is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Peter has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Ledee is looking for a rear naked choke here but Peter reverses the position brilliantly into Ledee's guard!

Peter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Peter has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ledee is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Peter stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Peter throws out a loose jab but Ledee uses good head movement to avoid it.
Peter lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Ledee keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ledee shoots in but no luck this time.
Peter throws a right and a left that both miss.
Peter swings for the body but Ledee moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Lonny Ledee's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ledee ducks under a wild hook from Peter.

Ledee looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Ledee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ledee trying to move into half guard but instead Peter has managed to sweep!

Ledee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Peter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Peter passes Ledee's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ledee misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ledee is looking to control Peter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ledee avoid being mounted?
Peter wants to stand up but Ledee is controlling the position.
Ledee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ledee is looking to control Peter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ledee avoid being mounted?

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Peter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ledee looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Ledee missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ledee tries to free his leg and advance position but Peter is retaining full guard.
Ledee wants to control from the top but Peter keeps moving.
Ledee forces his way into half guard.
Ledee wants to pass the guard but Peter is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ledee is trying to control the action in half guard but Peter is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ledee tries to clinch there but Peter circles away.
Peter lands with an overhand left.
Hamish Peter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ledee avoids a punch combination nicely.

Ledee looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lonny Ledee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Peter misses with a jab, cross combination.

Ledee shoots in and bounces Peter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ledee works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ledee is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Peter is just riding it out for now. Ledee eventually gives up the hold.
Ledee is looking to advance position but Peter won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ledee stalling away here and it's allowed Peter to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Peter wants to get back to his feet but Ledee is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Peter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ledee looking to pass the guard.

Peter pushes Ledee off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Peter throws a hook to the side of Ledee's head but Ledee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Peter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Ledee instigates a clinch.
Ledee keeps control of Peter as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Peter.
Peter has had enough of the clinch but Ledee keeps him there for the moment.

Ledee has hold of one of Peter's legs. Peter is fighting the takedown attempt but Ledee gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Ledee wants to control from the top but Peter keeps moving.
Ledee looking to pass the guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Peter looking to control.
Ledee looking to pass the guard.
Ledee trying to control but Peter is working from the bottom.
Ledee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ledee is fighting to break Peter's control of his arms but Peter is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lonny Ledee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ledee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
