Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Pugh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Tankmit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tankmit has chosen Unstoppable as his entrance music. Tankmit has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Luke Pugh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniel Tankmit! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tankmit clinches up with Pugh and pushes him back against the cage. Pugh creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Tankmit tries to circle away but Pugh has him pinned against the cage. Pugh manages to pull guard.
Pugh tries to strike from the bottom.
Tankmit stops Pugh from standing up. Pugh is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tankmit is aware though and is defending well. Pugh throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Tankmit missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Pugh trying to strike off his back.
Pugh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pugh throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Pugh takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pugh tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tankmit manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. And Tankmit tries to counter it with a takedown but Pugh pushes his down on his head and steps out. Pugh tries to clinch up. Tankmit is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Tankmit shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pugh's guard. Tankmit looks winded! Pugh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tankmit can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pugh looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tankmit throws a strike aimed at the side of Pugh's head but Pugh avoids it well. Pugh tries to escape but Tankmit is in control. Tankmit content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Tankmit is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Pugh tries to close the distance and clinch but Tankmit swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tankmit takes the fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Tankmit gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Pugh is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tankmit dives into side control.
Pugh is trying to control Tankmit's posture but Tankmit avoids it. Pugh is trying to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pugh wants to control but Tankmit postures up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pugh is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tankmit asserts his dominance and retains side control. Daniel Tankmit dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pugh tries to clinch up. Tankmit gets a clinch. Pugh's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tankmit shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tankmit was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Pugh tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Pugh is trying to get back to his feet but Tankmit has full control of the position and if anything, Pugh has just worked his way into a worse spot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tankmit is breathing heavily. Pugh trying to control the action but Tankmit just sinks the hooks in.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tankmit controls the position. Pugh just trying to survive but Tankmit is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Pugh is trying to get back to his feet but Tankmit has full control of the position and if anything, Pugh has just worked his way into a worse spot. Tankmit is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Pugh could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Pugh has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Tankmit controls the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tankmit gets his hands free as Pugh looks to control. Pugh trying to get back to his feet but Tankmit is in full control for now. Pugh trying to control but not successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tankmit trying to control. Pugh tries to escape the position.
Pugh wants to get back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Tankmit showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Pugh closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tankmit quickly recovers to half guard. Tankmit pushes Pugh off and gets back to his feet. Pugh tries to clinch up but Tankmit circles away and keeps his distance. The fight moves into the clinch position. Tankmit taking a breather. Pugh has hold of one of Tankmit's legs. Tankmit is fighting the takedown attempt but Pugh gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pugh postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Tankmit takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pugh has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tankmit is proving hard to escape from. Daniel Tankmit has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tankmit has control of Pugh's left arm, preventing Pugh from doing any damage. Pugh gets to his feet - Tankmit follows without any prompting. Pugh has closed the distance and engaged Tankmit in a clinch.
Pugh tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tankmit smiles and moves away.
Pugh fails in his attempt to clinch. Despite the aggression on Tankmit's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Pugh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tankmit paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pugh has closed the distance and engaged Tankmit in a clinch.
Pugh goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tankmit prevents it.
Pugh ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pugh no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tankmit won't allow Pugh to get back to his feet. Pugh has his feet on Tankmit's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The fight moves into the clinch position. Pugh tries to stall but Tankmit uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tankmit is keen to just control but Pugh is a slippery customer.

Pugh tries to stand but Tankmit is controlling from the bottom. Pugh working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tankmit pushes Pugh off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pugh clinches up against the cage. Pugh pulls guard effortlessly. Tankmit trying to control but Pugh is working from the bottom. Pugh doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Tankmit avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pugh throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Luke Pugh showed his dominance in that final round. Well Tankmit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
