Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Guillermo Pato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Deezy! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pato ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Deezy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pato has closed the distance and engaged Deezy in a clinch.
Pato digs a right hand into Deezy's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Deezy's gas tank. Pato lands with a short head shot on the inside. Pato is trying to drag Deezy to the mat but Deezy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Pato definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A right handed body shot lands from Pato.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Deezy prevents a body shot from Pato. Pato misses with a body punch.
Pato lands an uppercut. Deezy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pato lands with a short shot to the head. A nice right hand lands inside from Pato. Pato lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Pato lands a nice shot to the body. Deezy tries to pull guard but Pato won't allow it.
Pato stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Pato lands a body shot in the clinch.
Deezy looks winded! A hook to the body from Pato.
Pato makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Pato pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pato fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Deezy manages to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Deezy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Deezy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Deezy needs to keep his hands up - Pato had a free shot at his head there. Pato ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Deezy moves away. Deezy misses with a body shot
and Pato counters with a nice right hand that sends Deezy toppling to the canvas! Deezy scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Pato finish him?!
Deezy is rocked! Pato drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Deezy right on the button. Deezy goes down! Pato follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Pato gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guillermo Pato! Guillermo Pato really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Red Light Coffeeshop logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
