The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harvey moves into the clinch.
Powers fails to pull guard.
Powers's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Harvey lands a left hand.
Harvey lands with a short shot to the head.
Harvey controlling the action here for a moment.
Powers can't get the takedown.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Harvey.
Harvey lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Harvey stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Harvey gets through Powers's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Powers is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Powers changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Harvey fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Van Harvey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Powers.

Powers throws a leg kick but Harvey moved away.
Harvey misses with a wild combination.
Harvey has managed to clinch.
Harvey lands a hook that snaps the head of Powers backwards.
Harvey lands an uppercut.
Powers is still on wobbly legs! Can Harvey finish him?
Harvey has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Powers clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Harvey is cranking Powers's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Powers! He's tightened the choke and Powers is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Van Harvey!
A less than humble Van Harvey misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
