Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Carlos Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Cordolha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gabriel Carlos Jr could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jose Cordolha's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabriel Carlos Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jose Cordolha! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cordolha stalks Carlos Jr and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Carlos Jr's face. Carlos Jr staggers backwards, shaken. Carlos Jr darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Cordolha is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Carlos Jr escapes and gets back to his feet. Carlos Jr swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cordolha finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Carlos Jr gets a takedown into half guard. Cordolha is looking to get back to is feet but Carlos Jr passes into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action! Cordolha is trying to get back to half guard. Cordolha really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carlos Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carlos Jr throwing shots but missing, from side control. Cordolha is looking for a sweep. Carlos Jr remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cordolha tries to bench press Carlos Jr off him but Carlos Jr keeps the position. Carlos Jr working away. A lull in the action here as Carlos Jr stalls from top position. Cordolha is looking for a sweep. Carlos Jr misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The referee asks Carlos Jr politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Carlos Jr prefers to stall for the moment though. Carlos Jr thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carlos Jr is staying tight to Cordolha's torso, preventing him from escaping. Carlos Jr decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cordolha to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlos Jr has taken the fight to the clinch.
Carlos Jr has Cordolha pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Carlos Jr pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cordolha tumbling to the mat - Carlos Jr dives into Cordolha's guard. Carlos Jr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Cordolha looking for a guillotine here but Carlos Jr defends easily.
Cordolha can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carlos Jr controls the pace. Carlos Jr gets to his feet. Cordolha looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Carlos Jr tries to clinch and Cordolha counters with a series of strikes. Carlos Jr will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlos Jr has managed to clinch.

Cordolha blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Carlos Jr stops a takedown attempt from Cordolha.
Carlos Jr is pressed up against the cage. Cordolha has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Carlos Jr down to the mat. Carlos Jr avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Gabriel Carlos Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Cordolha. Cordolha looks winded! A looping hook to the body misses from Carlos Jr. Cordolha does a little dance to reset his feet. Cordolha gets caught napping as Carlos Jr dives in and scores a takedown. Cordolha manages to retain guard. Carlos Jr is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Carlos Jr pushes down on Cordolha's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlos Jr content to control rather than advance. Cordolha tries to roll over but Carlos Jr keeps him under control. Carlos Jr is looking for a kimura here.
Carlos Jr is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Cordolha trying to get back to full guard but Carlos Jr takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gabriel Carlos Jr dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Carlos Jr tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cordolha wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Carlos Jr wants to control but Cordolha postures up. That's one minute gone in the round. Carlos Jr manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Carlos Jr is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Carlos Jr is thwarting Cordolha's attempts to control the position. Carlos Jr performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Cordolha trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cordolha wants to control but Carlos Jr passes into side.
Carlos Jr passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Cordolha! Carlos Jr stands up from mount. Strange move. Cordolha tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Carlos Jr defends well and Cordolha ends up having to push Carlos Jr into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Carlos Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cordolha paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carlos Jr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cordolha can do to turn this around? Cordolha dives in and grabs Carlos Jr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carlos Jr pushes down on Cordolha's head and hops out. Cordolha is breathing heavily. Cordolha moves out of range of the body kick from Carlos Jr.
Carlos Jr bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cordolha throws a few rabbit punches from the bottom. Carlos Jr was waiting for it though - now Cordolha's arm is in the perfect position for an arm triangle - he's tightening it up and Cordolha is forced to tap out before he takes a nap! Very clever counter grappling there from Carlos Jr!
