Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Waylon Fowler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Archimedes Eureka!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eureka closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fowler to the mat! Fowler manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fowler wants to stand but Eureka has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Fowler makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Fowler wants to control from the top but Eureka keeps moving.

Eureka looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Eureka throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fowler tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Eureka is in Fowler's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Waylon Fowler will probably get the nod.

Eureka is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Fowler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Fowler gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Fowler lands a jab.

Fowler has taken the fight to the clinch.

Fowler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Eureka is trying to stand up here but Fowler is controlling him well.

Waylon Fowler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fowler thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Eureka's head.
Eureka has a hand on Fowler's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Fowler takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Fowler changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Eureka looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fowler looks up at the clock and then as Eureka takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fowler smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Fowler uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Eureka has time to react.
Eureka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fowler enables Eureka to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fowler manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fowler holds on and takes a little breather.
Fowler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Archimedes Eureka has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Waylon Fowler is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Fowler takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Fowler has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
