Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Carpenter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Lius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Carpenter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pete Lius! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lius takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like Pete Lius has been cut. Carpenter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lius looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Carpenter turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Carpenter swings for the body but Lius moves out of range.
Lius has his takedown stuffed and Carpenter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Lius with a poor takedown letting Carpenter counter with a right hand. Lius misses with a takedown attempt and Carpenter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That has opened up Pete Lius's cut even more. Ben Carpenter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Lius. Carpenter lands with a shot to the body. Lius moves away from the strike by Carpenter. Lius looking to score a takedown here. Carpenter is defending well but Lius drives through and ends up in Carpenter's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lius tries to free his leg and advance position but Carpenter is retaining full guard. Lius pushing down on Carpenter's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Carpenter is trying to get back to full guard. Lius content to control rather than advance. Carpenter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lius on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lius is working for a kimura but Carpenter is defending it quite comfortably.
Lius is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Lius is trying to control the action in half guard but Carpenter is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lius not doing much here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lius lands a nice short elbow. Lius throwing shots but Carpenter is blocking nicely. Lius seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Lius passes into side control, despite Carpenter's attempt to control the position.
Lius is looking to take a break and control but Carpenter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carpenter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carpenter tries to get out of the position. Lius working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lius tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lius has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Lius is looking to take a break and control but Carpenter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lius in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Lius is trying to get an arm triangle but Carpenter is defending well. Lius scoring with punches and elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lius is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Carpenter looks calm but he's in trouble here. Lius gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Carpenter is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Lius lets go of the hold and Carpenter can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Pete Lius! Pete Lius decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
