Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Hewitt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
33 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyle Rad! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rad misses with a looping right. Rad throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hewitt misses with a double jab
and Rad counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hewitt thinking. We've been told by Hewitt's head coaches at Tayne's 4d3d3d3 Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Rad lands a head shot. Rad throws a leg kick that is checked and Hewitt counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rad is rocked! Hewitt misses with an uppercut. Rad is still on wobbly legs! Can Hewitt finish him? Rad is looking to score with low kicks. Rad throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Hewitt misses the target. Hewitt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rad seems to have recovered his senses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rad swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rad misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rad throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hewitt on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Rad throws a leg kick but Hewitt moved away. Rad is looking to score with low kicks. Rad tries to work over Hewitt's front leg with a kick but Hewitt checks it. Hewitt darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Rad is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hewitt comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Rad thuds a left hand into Hewitt's body. Kyle Rad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hewitt throws a sloppy body shot
and Rad counters with a one-two to the body. A low kick from Rad is predictable there and Hewitt counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rad misses with a right hand and Hewitt counters with a nice body shot. Rad throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hewitt. Rad connects with a leg kick. Hewitt looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Rad takes a body punch but keeps moving. Rad lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Hewitt jabs at Rad's body. Hewitt misses with a body shot.
Hewitt backing away here, and Rad unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Hewitt misses with an uppercut. Rad saw that one coming. An inside leg kick lands from Rad. Rad scores with a leg kick.
Rad throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rad throws a body punch but Hewitt moves out of range. Hewitt lands with a good body shot. Hewitt takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Rad just misses with a punch to the body.
Rad jabs Hewitt to the body, keeping him at a distance. Hewitt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A nice leg kick lands there from Rad. Rad has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hewitt finds it's way round the side to connect with Rad's head. A jab from Rad finds it's way through Hewitt's defenses. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rad, right into the meat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rad fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hewitt swings widly with a right hand
and Rad counters with an inside leg kick. Rad scores with a leg kick.
Hewitt throws a hook but Rad blocks it. Rad connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hewitt momentarily.
Rad is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hewitt rather than just go for the knockout. Hewitt on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rad misses with an uppercut. Hewitt saw that one coming. Hewitt was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Hewitt throws a hook but Rad avoids it easily. Hewitt throws a right hand that misses
letting Rad counter with a right hand. Rad throws a leg kick and Hewitt counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Rad lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Rad dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Rad misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Hewitt to counter with a crisp jab. Hewitt lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Rad falls backwards - clearly groggy! Hewitt dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Hewitt! Kyle Rad was interviewed post fight and said 'Just a bad day bitch. next time i will fuck you up good.'.
