Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musa Ibn Abdullah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Desmond Wallace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Musa Ibn Abdullah! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ibn Abdullah throws a sloppy head kick and Wallace holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Ibn Abdullah misses with a hook to the ribs.
Wallace is trying to pull guard but Ibn Abdullah has him pressed against the cage. Wallace has Ibn Abdullah pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wallace pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ibn Abdullah tumbling to the mat - Wallace dives into Ibn Abdullah's guard. Wallace has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wallace not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ibn Abdullah wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallace showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ibn Abdullah looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Ibn Abdullah is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ibn Abdullah fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wallace avoids it really well and circles away. A quick step to the side and Wallace tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Wallace closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ibn Abdullah is trying to control Wallace's posture but Wallace avoids it. Wallace prevents Ibn Abdullah from escaping the position. Wallace looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ibn Abdullah manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wallace's best efforts. Ibn Abdullah is looking for a sweep. Wallace is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Wallace looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ibn Abdullah with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace is controlling the pace.
Wallace lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Ibn Abdullah is trying to control but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ibn Abdullah is controlling Wallace's posture. Wallace engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Ibn Abdullah is trying to control the position but Wallace postures up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Wallace controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ibn Abdullah digs a good body shot into Wallace's ribs. Wallace darts in and clinches Ibn Abdullah up against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Wallace manages to pull guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Desmond Wallace dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ibn Abdullah will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Wallace is looking to counter punch. Wallace displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ibn Abdullah. Wallace shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ibn Abdullah looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Wallace ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Wallace is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ibn Abdullah can do to turn this around? Wallace clinches up with Ibn Abdullah and pushes him back against the cage. Ibn Abdullah pulls guard. Wallace stays in close to Ibn Abdullah's body and controls the position. Wallace postures up and lands a big shot to Ibn Abdullah's brow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallace with a nice head shot there. Wallace trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ibn Abdullah's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ibn Abdullah is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wallace is aware though and is defending well. Wallace tries to free his leg and advance position but Ibn Abdullah is retaining full guard. Ibn Abdullah trying to control the position.
Wallace with a flurry of punches that miss. Wallace landing some decent shots from guard. Wallace controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Wallace wants to control from the top but Ibn Abdullah keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ibn Abdullah being controlled here, momentarily. Wallace preventing the sweep.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Ibn Abdullah manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wallace on his heels. He'll look to pass Wallace's guard now, I'm sure. Wallace looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ibn Abdullah trying to move into half guard but instead Wallace has managed to sweep! Wallace trying to control the position from guard on top but Ibn Abdullah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wallace won't allow Ibn Abdullah to sweep him here. Wallace lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wallace slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Desmond Wallace dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Ibn Abdullah closes the distance looking to clinch and Wallace counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ibn Abdullah displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wallace. Wallace throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A slapping leg kick lands for Ibn Abdullah.
Ibn Abdullah has managed to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ibn Abdullah thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Ibn Abdullah wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Wallace is now in half guard. Ibn Abdullah is trying to maintain the position but Wallace is very close to passing his half guard. Ibn Abdullah is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Wallace is staying active. Ibn Abdullah is looking for a sweep. Wallace is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wallace is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Wallace tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Ibn Abdullah. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wallace connects with a nice short shot to Ibn Abdullah's temple. Wallace is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ibn Abdullah is trying to get back to full guard. Ibn Abdullah blocking the ground and pound attempt from Wallace. Wallace is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ibn Abdullah sees it coming and defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace thows a huge punch but Ibn Abdullah dodges it nicely.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Ibn Abdullah fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wallace, pushing him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wallace has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ibn Abdullah uses from the top position. Ibn Abdullah trying to control the position from guard on top but Wallace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ibn Abdullah missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ibn Abdullah looking to sit in guard and control but Wallace gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Wallace wants to control from the top but Ibn Abdullah keeps moving. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wallace postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Musa Ibn Abdullah has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Desmond Wallace is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wallace working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ibn Abdullah's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Desmond Wallace showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wallace, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
