Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Bob Backlund and Freddy Lee. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 5 losses; Bob Backlund! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 3 losses; Freddy Lee! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and David Schapiro.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Lee closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Backlund's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Backlund (0) vs (2) Lee
Backlund is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Lee seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Backlund is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee won't allow Backlund to sweep him here. Lee stays in close to Backlund's body and controls the position. Lee pushes down on Backlund's leg and manages to get into half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Backlund makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Backlund.
Backlund looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Backlund has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Lee doesn't defend quickly enough and Backlund has managed to lock this one up! Can Lee escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Backlund on a fantastic submission victory.
