Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Yuri Tuksu and Sebastian Heikkinen. Heikkinen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sigur Rós - Varúđ. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Yuri Tuksu! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Sebastian Heikkinen! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Tuksu closes the distance and clinches. Tuksu pulls guard effortlessly. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Tuksu controls Heikkinen momentarily but Heikkinen frees himself. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tuksu holds on and takes a little breather. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Heikkinen content to stall in guard here. Heikkinen trying to control the position from guard on top but Tuksu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tuksu is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Heikkinen defends well. Heikkinen wants to control from the top but Tuksu keeps moving.

Tuksu looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tuksu! Tuksu is looking to take a break and control but Heikkinen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's six minutes gone in the round. Tuksu slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Heikkinen looking to pass the guard. Tuksu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Heikkinen is aware though and is defending well. Tuksu isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Heikkinen stacks Tuksu on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Heikkinen! He has the arm isolated but Tuksu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tuksu is not content to let Heikkinen control the position. Tuksu is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Tuksu wants to control but Heikkinen postures up. Tuksu is holding Heikkinen down, trying to stall. Heikkinen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tuksu, who protects the arm well. Tuksu is looking for a sweep.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Heikkinen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tuksu has escaped the position, nice work there. Tuksu gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Tuksu looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Tuksu trying to control but Heikkinen postures up.
Heikkinen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tuksu does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Tuksu controlling the position well. Heikkinen is looking to take a break and control but Tuksu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tuksu is trying to get back to full guard. Heikkinen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Heikkinen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tuksu keeps working.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Tuksu tries to roll over but Heikkinen keeps him under control. Heikkinen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tuksu is just riding it out for now. Heikkinen eventually gives up the hold.
