Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Percy Schmeiser and Michael Blake. Schmeiser comes into the arena with David vs Monsanto blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 3 losses; Percy Schmeiser! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 4 losses; Michael Blake! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Schmeiser fails in his attempt to clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blake is defended easily by Schmeiser. Blake throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Schmeiser was covering up waiting for the punch and Blake finishes the takedown easily into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Schmeiser (0) vs (2) Blake Schmeiser seems keen to control Blake's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schmeiser trying to keep a closed guard but Blake is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmeiser trying to control the position here. Schmeiser keeping moving, preventing Blake from controlling successfully. Blake is fighting to break Schmeiser's control of his arms but Schmeiser is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Schmeiser looking for a sweep. Not yet Schmeiser, not yet. Schmeiser pulls Blake in to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blake pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schmeiser is keeping the position for now. Blake looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Blake passes Schmeiser's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Schmeiser is trying to maintain the position but Blake is very close to passing his half guard. Schmeiser manages to get to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blake drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blake jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Schmeiser is pulling down on Blake's head. It's preventing any offense from Blake, at least for the moment. Blake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schmeiser swivels though and keeps the full guard. Blake wants to control from the top but Schmeiser keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schmeiser controlling Blake's posture. Blake advances to half guard. Schmeiser regains full guard. Nicely done. Schmeiser is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Schmeiser is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Schmeiser is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Schmeiser tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've been hearing good reports from Schmeiser's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Schmeiser controls Blake momentarily but Blake frees himself. Schmeiser has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Blake has passed into side control.
Score +3 for passing guard: Schmeiser (0) vs (5) Blake Schmeiser can't do much from the bottom here. Schmeiser is not content to let Blake control the position. Schmeiser tries to bench press Blake off him but Blake keeps the position.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Schmeiser reaches up around Blake's neck trying to control. But Blake takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Schmeiser! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Schmeiser is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Blake celebrates the victory with the fans!
