Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Chuck Cobb and Jay Kulina. Jay Kulina acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Chuck Cobb! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jay Kulina! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Nice sprawl there from Cobb as Kulina shoots in. Horrible takedown attempt by Kulina or perhaps it was just good defense by Cobb, which made it look bad. Cobb tries to clinch but Kulina moves out of range. Kulina drives through and clinches with Cobb against the cage.
Cobb has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kulina uses from the top position. Kulina trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kulina is pushing down on Cobb's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cobb is fighting to maintain full guard but Kulina has managed to sneak the leg through. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big mistake from Kulina there, giving up the dominant position!
