Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boomboom stuffs the takedown.
Rickston tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boomboom sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rickston somewhat.
Boomboom changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Boomboom drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rickston has momentary wrist control but Boomboom slips an elbow through the middle.
Boomboom keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rickston's head.
Rickston has his hands on Boomboom's head, controlling the position.
Boomboom content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boomboom throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rickston works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Boomboom postures up and lands a big shot to Rickston's brow.
Rickston is trying to control the position but Boomboom postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rickston can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rickston is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Boomboom frees his head nicely. Oh but Rickston has switched to an armbar! Boomboom is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
