Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Doo Choi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Raymundo Sweeney! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sweeney gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Raymundo Sweeney has been cut. Choi tries to move into range but Sweeney moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Sweeney throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Choi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Sweeney walks into a straight right hand from Choi. Choi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Sweeney pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Choi back to the cage. Sweeney follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Choi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sweeney.
Choi moves away from the strike by Sweeney. Sweeney scores with a punch to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sweeney lands a left and a right that send Choi crashing to the mat, dazed. Sweeney thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Choi is rocked! Choi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sweeney.
Oh Choi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sweeney lands with a nice body punch. Choi seems to have got his legs back now. Choi works over Sweeney's head and body with a nice combination. Sweeney throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Choi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sweeney rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Choi moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Choi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Choi throws a looping overhand right but Sweeney ducks down to avoid it. Sweeney connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Sweeney scores with a nice head shot. Sweeney lands a nice looking body shot.
Choi checks the leg kick nicely there.
A telegraphed right hand from Sweeney misses the target. It looked like Choi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Choi throws an overhand right that lands on Sweeney's shoulder, as Sweeney tries to avoid the shot. Sweeney tries to bum rush Choi with a series of wild strikes but Choi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sweeney scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Choi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sweeney takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Choi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Raymundo Sweeney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sweeney throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Choi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sweeney connects with a body shot. Sweeney ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Sweeney throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Choi on the side of the head. Sweeney throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Donk. Sweeney catches Choi right on the button with a cross. Sweeney waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Choi. Oooooh!!! Sweeney has knocked Choi down with a huge combo! Sweeney steps away and waves a wobbly Choi back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Choi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sweeney sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sweeney jabs Choi to the body, keeping him at a distance. Sweeney lands with an overhand left. Nice uppercut there from Sweeney. Sweeney misses with a jab, cross combination.
Choi cracks Sweeney with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sweeney scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Sweeney misses with a double jab
and Sweeney takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Choi tries to bum rush Sweeney with a series of wild strikes but Sweeney uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sweeney looks like he wants to counter punch here. Choi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Sweeney lands a left and a right that send Choi crashing to the mat, dazed.
