And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace scores with the left hand. Barakus knows he should have avoided that one.


It looks like RJ Barakus has been cut.

Wallace has taken the fight to the clinch.
We've been hearing reports that Barakus has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Wallace prevents a takedown attempt there.

Barakus gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Wallace wants to sweep but Barakus has passed to side control!

Barakus thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Barakus working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Barakus is looking to take a break and control but Wallace is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Barakus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wallace, who protects the arm well.

Barakus has hold of Wallace's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wallace seems comfortable defending it but Barakus has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wallace is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wallace is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Barakus couldn't care less - he's delighted!
