Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phillipe Panzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tycho Lyconides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phillipe Panzer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tycho Lyconides ! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lyconides fakes the leg kick and cracks Panzer in the body. Lyconides lands a leg kick that knocks Panzer off balance momentarily. Lyconides misses with a head kick.
Panzer tries to move into range but Lyconides moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. The fight stays on the outside here - Panzer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lyconides displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Lyconides punishes Panzer's body with a nice straight punch. Nice cross by Lyconides . Lyconides scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lyconides lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Panzer circles away quickly and effectively. Lyconides moves in looking to clinch but Panzer pushes him off. Panzer gets a double leg takedown into Lyconides 's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Panzer would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Lyconides wants to stand up but Panzer is controlling him. Panzer's corner is telling him to maintain position. Panzer passes easily into side control. Nice work. Lyconides tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Panzer is working Lyconides over with some ground and pound from side control. You can see the frustration on Lyconides 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Panzer controlling the position from side mount. Lyconides really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Panzer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lyconides is trying to get back to half guard. Lyconides looks winded! Panzer decides to stand back up. Panzer steps back and let's Lyconides get back to his feet. Panzer motions for Lyconides to come forward. Panzer throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Panzer looking to score a takedown here. Lyconides is defending well but Panzer drives through and ends up in Lyconides 's guard. Panzer stands and throws Lyconides 's legs to the side, diving into side control. Panzer is staying tight to Lyconides 's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panzer landing a few strikes. Panzer controls the position from side control. Panzer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The referee asks Panzer politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Panzer prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Panzer gets to mount! Lyconides was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Panzer working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Panzer scoring with strikes but Lyconides is staying in there. Panzer with a couple of short strikes. Panzer controlling his opponent. Panzer working for a guillotine from mount but Lyconides is in no mood to give up. You get the feeling that Lyconides really doesn't like being in this position too much.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phillipe Panzer dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Lyconides slips a jab and a cross from Panzer.
Panzer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lyconides avoids it really well and circles away. Panzer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lyconides looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Lyconides can't do much from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Panzer content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyconides tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lyconides looking for a sweep but Panzer has passed into full mount! Oh no! Lyconides is breathing heavily. Panzer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lyconides 's face.
Panzer content just to control the position here. A nice elbow there by Panzer. Lyconides is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lyconides is in all sorts of trouble here.
Phillipe Panzer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Panzer is in the full mount, landing strikes. Panzer goes for an armbar but Lyconides turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Lyconides . Panzer pulls Lyconides in close to prevent any damage. Lyconides wants to get up but he can't break Panzer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Panzer is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panzer is working Lyconides over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Panzer stays in close to Lyconides 's body and controls the position. Panzer with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Panzer showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Panzer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Panzer connects with a couple of short punches.

Lyconides is rocked! Panzer gets to his feet - Lyconides follows without any prompting. Lyconides is still on wobbly legs! Can Panzer finish him? Panzer misses with an uppercut. Lyconides avoids a punch combination nicely.
Panzer dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Lyconides has had enough and taps out.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Phillipe Panzer!
