Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brandon Jackson! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knight paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jackson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Knight sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nice takedown defense from Knight. No joy for Jackson on that attempt. Aaron Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Jackson. Knight closes the distance and pushes Jackson back into the cage. Knight tries to pull guard but Jackson won't allow it.

Knight went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Knight scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Knight counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jackson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Knight defends well and Jackson ends up having to push Knight into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jackson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jackson looks winded! Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Knight seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Jackson misses with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson shoots in and drives through. Knight sprawls well. It looked like Knight wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Jackson with a lazy takedown attempt and Knight counters with a two punch combo. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jackson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Knight has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Knight and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Knight tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Knight closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jackson did well to prevent Knight getting side control. Jackson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Jackson tries for a takedown but Knight circles away easily and Knight holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Knight decides to pull guard. Jackson won't allow Knight to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knight is working hard here to advance position. Knight pulls Jackson in to control the position. Knight looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there. Knight has Jackson pulled in close to control his posture. Knight working a defensive guard here.

Knight sprawls well. Knight circles away from the clinch attempt and Knight counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jackson is lucky that one didn't land flush. Knight is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jackson can do to turn this around?

Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Knight tries to clinch up. Jackson tries to clinch up and Knight counters with a lovely straight right hand! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Knight looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jackson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Knight stands up over Jackson, holding his feet. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Jackson. Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knight ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Knight no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Knight is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Knight escapes and gets back to his feet. Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Knight tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Knight manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Knight looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jackson wants to counter with a clinch but Knight pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knight feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Knight keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jackson's head. Knight working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jackson's head. Jackson has a closed guard, preventing Knight from standing up. Knight trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Jackson controls Knight momentarily but Knight frees himself. Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jackson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jackson pushes Knight against the cage but Knight circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Knight gets caught flat footed, as Jackson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Knight wants to stand and escape but Jackson is having none of it. Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Knight looking for a sweep. Not yet Knight, not yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Knight looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Knight looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
