Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clark Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Bombardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bombardo has chosen All of the lights as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Clark Rivers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cain Bombardo! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bombardo moves into range and clinches up with Rivers. Rivers tries for a takedown but Bombardo manages to get underhooks.
Rivers has picked Bombardo up - he's going for a ride! Rivers dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Bombardo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rivers is working away from the top position though. The fighters are battling for position here. Bombardo manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Bombardo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rivers controls the pace. Rivers won't allow Bombardo to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rivers controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bombardo is looking for a triangle but Rivers pushes his legs off easily.
Rivers looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Bombardo moves into the clinch. Rivers tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bombardo just stands there and leans against the cage. Rivers goes for a takedown attempt but Bombardo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clark Rivers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rivers closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rivers decides to pull guard. Bombardo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Rivers keeping moving, preventing Bombardo from controlling successfully. Rivers wants to sweep but no luck. Bombardo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Rivers keeping moving, preventing Bombardo from controlling successfully. Bombardo looking to sit in guard and control but Rivers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bombardo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rivers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rivers stopping the sweep attempt from Bombardo. Bombardo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bombardo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bombardo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bombardo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rivers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bombardo is striking but Rivers is not phased and passes to half guard. Bombardo is trying to stand.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The fight moves into the clinch position. Rivers is looking to take this one to the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Clark Rivers will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bombardo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bombardo keeps the fight on the outside. Rivers dives in and grabs Bombardo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bombardo pushes down on Rivers's head and hops out. Bombardo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rivers to the ground. Bombardo is now in Rivers's guard. Bombardo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rivers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bombardo looking to sit in guard and control but Rivers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rivers stays in close to Bombardo's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bombardo looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rivers passes into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bombardo throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Bombardo is pushing Rivers's head away, looking to escape. Rivers manages to hold on to the position though. You can see the frustration on Bombardo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rivers is looking to take a break and control but Bombardo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bombardo tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bombardo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Clark Rivers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rivers slips a nice elbow through Bombardo's hands, connecting with Bombardo's forehead. Bombardo is trying to control but can't.
Rivers passes into side control, despite Bombardo's attempt to control the position.
Bombardo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rivers wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Bombardo's face as Rivers controls the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Bombardo thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rivers if he has to take too many more of those.
Bombardo slaps away a takedown attempt from Rivers, before circling back to the center of the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bombardo scores with a takedown into Rivers's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bombardo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Rivers takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Clark Rivers has been cut. Bombardo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Rivers tries to keep at a distance but Bombardo has taken the fight into the clinch. Rivers wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clark Rivers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bombardo breaks from the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bombardo goes for a high kick. It partially lands. This has been an exciting period of action! Bombardo circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Rivers drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Bombardo follows Rivers to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
