Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Humberto Da Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustaf Scandinavian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scandinavian has chosen Mask Off - Future as his entrance music. Gustaf Scandinavian will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gustaf Scandinavian! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good shot there by Scandinavian. Scandinavian scores with a nice right hand.

A jab from Scandinavian finds it's way through Da Costa 's defenses. The fighters circling - Da Costa throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Scandinavian tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Da Costa misses with a jab, cross combination.
Scandinavian throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Da Costa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Scandinavian's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Da Costa is pushing down on Scandinavian's leg trying to pass to half guard. Scandinavian is fighting to maintain full guard but Da Costa has managed to sneak the leg through. Da Costa is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Scandinavian has managed to free his arm - good work. Scandinavian looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Da Costa tries to pass to full mount but Scandinavian defends it. Da Costa stands up and beckons Scandinavian to join him on the feet. Da Costa fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Da Costa darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Da Costa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Scandinavian with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Da Costa not doing much here.

Da Costa with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Scandinavian tries to roll over but Da Costa keeps him under control. Da Costa controlling the pace. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Da Costa lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Scandinavian is defending against the submission attempts here by Da Costa .
Da Costa is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Scandinavian is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Da Costa pulls his head out easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Da Costa wants to pass to mount but Scandinavian is defending the position. Scandinavian has hold of Da Costa 's hands but Da Costa slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Da Costa in particular looking to stall. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Da Costa is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Scandinavian has managed to free his arm - good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Da Costa shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Scandinavian is trying to defend but Da Costa finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Scandinavian manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Da Costa keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Scandinavian is trying to force a seperation but Da Costa has the dominant position. Scandinavian misses with the head strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scandinavian goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Scandinavian throws a head punch that misses. Da Costa wants the takedown. Scandinavian is fighting it off but Da Costa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Scandinavian's guard against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Da Costa lands a couple of decent looking shots. Da Costa tries to stand but Scandinavian is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Da Costa controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Scandinavian throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Da Costa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Da Costa scores with a takedown into Scandinavian's guard. Da Costa slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scandinavian keeping full guard, as Da Costa tries to pass. Da Costa stands and throws Scandinavian's legs to the side, diving into side control. Da Costa wants to stand but Scandinavian has his arm trapped. Da Costa creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Scandinavian is letting Da Costa control him for a moment. Da Costa working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Da Costa tries to advance to mount but Scandinavian instead regains half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Da Costa is thwarting Scandinavian's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Humberto Da Costa dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Da Costa takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Da Costa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Scandinavian's waist but Scandinavian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Da Costa off to one side. Da Costa scores with a takedown into Scandinavian's guard. Da Costa sitting in guard here, content to control. Da Costa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Scandinavian is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Scandinavian has escaped and now he's on top!

Scandinavian must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Da Costa keeping moving, preventing Scandinavian from controlling successfully. Scandinavian wants to pass the guard but Da Costa is keeping the position. Da Costa wants to stand up but Scandinavian is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Da Costa wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Gustaf Scandinavian has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Scandinavian trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Da Costa pulls Scandinavian in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Da Costa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Scandinavian pinned against the cage. Scandinavian gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Da Costa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Humberto Da Costa . That's going to take a lot out of him. Da Costa takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
No luck for Da Costa with that takedown attempt. Scandinavian steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Da Costa . Da Costa looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scandinavian defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Da Costa . Both fighters are breathing heavily. "Ole!" shouts Scandinavian as he jumps to the side. Scandinavian steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Da Costa . Scandinavian scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Scandinavian punishes Da Costa 's body with a nice straight punch. Scandinavian has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Scandinavian tries a head kick but it misses.
Da Costa drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scandinavian bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Da Costa 's head. Da Costa keeps the fight on the outside. Gustaf Scandinavian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Da Costa misses with a double jab
and Da Costa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nice sprawl there from Scandinavian as Da Costa shoots in. Scandinavian scores with a jab to the jaw. Da Costa ducks right into an uppercut from Scandinavian. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A head kick misses from Scandinavian. Scandinavian lands with a kick to the temple. Da Costa shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Da Costa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Da Costa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Scandinavian swinging wildly here.
And that's the end of the fight! Gustaf Scandinavian comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Da Costa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
