The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhammer throws a jab but it's blocked by Kucherov.
Danga de danga de dang - Rhammer scores with a four punch combination!
Kucherov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kucherov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rhammer manages to avoid it.
Kucherov throws a poor cross that misses
and Rhammer counters with a left to the body.
Kucherov misses the body punch
and Rhammer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kucherov misses with a hook
and Rhammer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kucherov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rhammer.
Rhammer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Rhammer has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kucherov is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Kucherov scores with a jab to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kucherov throws a body shot but no joy.
Kucherov throws a hook to the side of Rhammer's head but Rhammer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kucherov throws a right hand that misses
and Rhammer counters with a left and a right that stings Kucherov.
Kucherov looks to land a body kick but Rhammer moved away.
Kucherov throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rhammer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kucherov is rocked!
Rhammer misses with a few strikes there.
Oh Kucherov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rhammer lands the left hand.
Rhammer ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Kucherov's jaw. Kucherov's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Rhammer does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Anass Rhammer!
Anass Rhammer bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
