Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tat Moh and Jay Gatsby. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 2 losses; Tat Moh! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 2 losses; Jay Gatsby! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Gatsby shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Moh (0) vs (2) Gatsby Moh is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gatsby pulls his head out easily. Gatsby prevents Moh from improving his position. Moh wants to control but Gatsby is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gatsby frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Score +3 for passing guard: Moh (0) vs (5) Gatsby Moh wants to control but Gatsby is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gatsby has hold of Moh's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Moh manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Moh controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Gatsby looking to hit a scissor sweep but Moh is one step ahead there. Moh sitting in guard here, content to control. Gatsby is pulling down on Moh's head. It's preventing any offense from Moh, at least for the moment. Gatsby has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moh can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gatsby tries to land a sweep but no joy. Moh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Gatsby pulls Moh in close to prevent any damage. Moh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gatsby is on top in guard.

Moh is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gatsby is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Moh lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Moh (4) vs (7) Gatsby Moh not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Gatsby pulls Moh in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moh sitting in guard here, content to control. Moh's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Moh trying to control the action but Gatsby is working from the bottom. Gatsby is doing well to control the position and prevent Moh from advancing to side control. Gatsby won't allow Moh to pass to mount. We've been hearing good reports from Moh's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Moh in particular looking to stall.
