Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Holton Hamburger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xerxes Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hamburger.
No joy there for Hamburger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hamburger on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Hamburger darts in looking for a takedown but Anderson gets double underhooks and turns Hamburger into the cage.
Hamburger needs to keep his hands up - Anderson had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Holton Hamburger has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hamburger is defended easily by Anderson.
It seemed like Anderson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Holton Hamburger. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Anderson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hamburger looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Anderson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Anderson scores with a nice head shot.
Hamburger shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anderson sprawls well. Anderson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hamburger gets slowly back to his feet.
Hamburger looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Anderson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hamburger tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Anderson defends well and Hamburger ends up having to push Anderson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
The crowd cheers as Anderson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hamburger doesn't seem phased though.

Hamburger shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Anderson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Hamburger is breathing heavily.
Hamburger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hamburger is posturing up here but Anderson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Hamburger tries to roll out but it's too tight and Hamburger has to tap! Slick submission there by Anderson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Xerxes Anderson!
