The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Van Der Kaas has managed to clinch.

Wilkerson tightens his grip and picks Van Der Kaas up, before dumping him to the ground. Van Der Kaas manages to land in guard.

Van Der Kaas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wilkerson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wilkerson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Van Der Kaas wants to get back to his feet but Wilkerson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Van Der Kaas is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Wilkerson is keeping busy.

Wilkerson goes for a double leg but Van Der Kaas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Van Der Kaas continues to drive forward.

Van Der Kaas tries for a takedown but Wilkerson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
It looked like Wilkerson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Wilkerson shoots in looking for a takedown but Van Der Kaas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wilkerson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Wilkerson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Van Der Kaas is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Wilkerson is controlling him well.

Van Der Kaas is squirming around looking to escape but he's just wriggling himself into more trouble. Wilkerson sinks in the hooks and manages to tighten his grip on a rear naked choke. Van Der Kaas has no choice but to tap and Wilkerson jumps to his feet to celebrate and slick submission win!
