Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Padilla! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Padilla cracks a nice hook into Heath's ribs. Padilla lands with an uppercut that bounces Heath off the cage and back into range. Padilla throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Heath on the side of the head.
It looks like Leo Heath has been cut. Heath misses with a takedown attempt - Padilla sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. And Padilla tries to counter it with a takedown but Heath pushes his down on his head and steps out. Padilla throws a series of punches but Heath avoids them all with ease. Padilla throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Heath has a takedown stuffed. Padilla fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Padilla misses with a straight right. Heath gets caught flat footed, as Padilla shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Padilla must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Heath looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Padilla throws an elbow that misses. Heath uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Padilla's guard. Nice move by Heath!
That's one minute gone in the round. Heath stands up from Padilla's guard - Heath perhaps looking for a knockout. Padilla clinches up against the cage. Heath keeps control of Padilla as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Heath fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Heath. That's going to take a lot out of him. Heath is trying to pull guard but Padilla turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Heath has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Padilla uses from the top position. Padilla stopping the sweep attempt from Heath. Padilla trying to stand up but can't free himself from Heath's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Padilla accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Padilla trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Padilla wants to control from the top but Heath keeps moving. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Heath is on top in guard.
Padilla is trying to hold Heath in close to prevent damage but Heath has managed to pass into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Padilla tries to get to full guard but Heath has control of the leg. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Heath connects with a nice short shot to Padilla's temple. Padilla punching from the bottom.
Padilla wants to sweep but Heath has passed to side control! Heath remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Heath working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Heath gets to mount! Padilla was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Padilla tries to get back to half guard but can't. Heath breaks from Padilla's wrist control and lands an elbow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Heath working Padilla over with strikes here. Heath lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Padilla tries to lock up and control but Heath gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ricky Padilla will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Leo Heath's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Padilla swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Heath counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Padilla! Padilla wants to get back to his feet but Heath is dominant here and he's now got Padilla's back! Padilla is in bad spot here.
Padilla is trapped and Heath is scoring with shots to the head and body. Heath cracks Padilla with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Padilla from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Padilla just trying to survive but Heath is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Padilla is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Heath is staying active. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Heath cracks Padilla with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Padilla from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heath controlling well, preventing Padilla from escaping the position.
Can Padilla hold on?! Heath is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
The referee is taking a good look at Padilla as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Heath!
Heath connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Padilla to escape the position.
Heath really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Padilla. Padilla looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heath working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Padilla is doing well to defend. Heath seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Padilla is forced to tap and this one is over!
