Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease.
Johnson stuffs the takedown.
Ryan misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Johnson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ryan in his tracks.
Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ryan tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Ryan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ryan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Johnson finds it's way round the side to connect with Ryan's head.

Johnson punishes Ryan's body with a nice straight punch.

and Johnson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Ryan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.

Ryan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Johnson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ryan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Johnson cracks Ryan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Johnson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Ryan had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Johnson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Johnson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ryan momentarily.
Ryan fails with the takedown
and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand.
Ford Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ryan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Ryan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

and Johnson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.

Johnson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Ryan fails with the takedown
and Johnson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Johnson scores with a jab to the head.
Johnson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Ryan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Johnson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ryan. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.

Johnson lands a head shot.


It looks like Ford Ryan has been cut.
Johnson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Johnson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ryan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Johnson connects with a right hand. Ryan shakes it off.
Nice straight punches there by Johnson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Johnson.


Ryan is rocked!
Johnson drops Ryan with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Ryan! Johnson dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ted Johnson!
