Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trent Hoop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mongo Cornell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cornell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Take a Fall. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mongo Cornell was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Cornell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cornell throws a right hand that Hoop ducks under and follows up with a left that Hoop also avoids with ease.
Cornell misses with a wild combination.
Nice defenses there by Cornell.
Hoop closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hoop breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hoop throws the left hand but Cornell avoids the punch easily.
Cornell thuds a left hand into Hoop's body.
A nice combination there by Hoop.
It looks like Mongo Cornell has been cut.
Mongo Cornell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cornell throws a hook to the side of Hoop's head but Hoop sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hoop paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hoop lands a big uppercut and Cornell crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Cornell looks OK. Hoop waves Cornell back to his feet!
Cornell is rocked!
Cornell looks to score with a jab to the body but Hoop is just out of range.
Cornell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hoop counters with a huge left! Cornell is in big trouble! He's backing up but Hoop isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Cornell from any more damage. A dominating finish by Hoop!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trent Hoop!
