Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shonie Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Reinhardt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A jab from Reinhardt misses.
Nice sprawl there from Reinhardt as Carter shoots in.
No luck for Carter with that takedown attempt.
Reinhardt misses with an uppercut. Carter saw that one coming.
Carter moves out of range as Reinhardt strikes.
Reinhardt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Carter manages to get back to half guard.
Reinhardt slips a nice elbow through Carter's hands, connecting with Carter's forehead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reinhardt winds up and cracks Carter with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Carter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Reinhardt lands a couple of elbows.

Carter is looking to sinch up a triangle. Reinhardt throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Carter's body to avoid the submission. Carter has instead reached around Reinhardt's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Carter arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
