And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Tony Miyazaki! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Giannopoulos closes the distance and clinches. Giannopoulos turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Giannopoulos (4) vs (0) Miyazaki Giannopoulos swings around for an armbar but Miyazaki sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Giannopoulos's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Giannopoulos (4) vs (2) Miyazaki Miyazaki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Giannopoulos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Giannopoulos trying to keep a closed guard but Miyazaki is proving a slippery customer.
Giannopoulos is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Miyazaki rolls with it to try and escape but Giannopoulos cranks on the arm and Miyazaki is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
