Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cody Dillabrandt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dillabrandt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to We Will Rock You. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cody Dillabrandt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacob Carver! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ben Hemmingworth and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dillabrandt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
It looked like Dillabrandt wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Carver blocks a jab. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Carver has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Carver has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Dillabrandt throws a nice looking combination but Carver bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Carver takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A big left from Dillabrandt misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dillabrandt throws a series of punches but Carver avoids them all with ease. Carver on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Dillabrandt wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Cody Dillabrandt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dillabrandt jabbing away but nothing is landing. Carver displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dillabrandt throws out the jab. Carver drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dillabrandt defends it well. A swing and a miss from Dillabrandt. Dillabrandt falls off balance throwing a combination
and Carver counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Carver wants to take a breather but Dillabrandt is having none of it. Carver missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Carver is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Carver trying to control from half guard but Dillabrandt is working away. Dillabrandt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carver on the ground. Dillabrandt wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carver wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dillabrandt keeps working. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Dillabrandt wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Carver tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dillabrandt paws at him with a jab and circles away. A big right from Dillabrandt misses. Dillabrandt throws a series of punches but Carver moves out of range. Carver lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dillabrandt circles away quickly and effectively. Dillabrandt is looking to counter punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dillabrandt misses with an uppercut. Carver saw that one coming. Carver looks to land a combination but Dillabrandt avoids it well. Cody Dillabrandt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Carver slips a jab from Dillabrandt. And Carver tries to counter it with a takedown but Dillabrandt pushes his down on his head and steps out. Dillabrandt tries to bum rush Carver with a series of wild strikes but Carver uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Carver feints the counter takedown. Carver moves out of range as Dillabrandt strikes. Dillabrandt stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Dillabrandt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carver. Dillabrandt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dillabrandt missing with a left hand there. Carver was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Dillabrandt is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Carver's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. A lazy left from Dillabrandt finds it's target. Dillabrandt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carver moves away. Dillabrandt misses with a jab, cross combination.

Carver with the counter takedown but Dillabrandt avoids it easily. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dillabrandt jabs Carver to the body, keeping him at a distance. Carver looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Dillabrandt dominated that round. That's time! Dillabrandt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Carver looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dillabrandt is fending him off so far but Carver persists. Nope, Dillabrandt circles away and we're back to standing. It looked like Dillabrandt was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Carver. Carver shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Dillabrandt scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Carver avoids a punch combination nicely.

Dillabrandt looks to land a left hand but Carver moved out of range nicely. Dillabrandt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Carver can do to turn this around?

Dillabrandt connects with a jab. Carver moves away from the strike by Dillabrandt. Carver tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Carver throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dillabrandt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dillabrandt swings and misses with a shot to the body and Carver counters with a shoot takedown. Dillabrandt fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carver slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Carver tries to advance to mount but Dillabrandt denies him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dillabrandt is pushing Carver's head away, looking to escape. Carver manages to hold on to the position though. Dillabrandt manages to work his way to half guard, despite Carver's best efforts. Carver is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dillabrandt defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carver wants to control but Dillabrandt is keeping him busy. Carver controlling the action here. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carver shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dillabrandt as he avoids it easily. A quick step to the side and Dillabrandt tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Cody Dillabrandt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacob Carver. Dillabrandt lands with a nice body punch. Carver slips under a jab. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carver fails with the takedown and Dillabrandt counters with a nice uppercut.
And that's the end of the fight! Cody Dillabrandt showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dillabrandt, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
