Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deacino lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Sato sprawling to the canvas. Deacino follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Sato hang on?
Sato is rocked!
It looks like Rumina Sato has been cut. Deacino wants to stand but Sato has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Oh Sato is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Deacino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sato. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sato trying to hold on to Deacino's head to control him but Deacino postures up.
Deacino wants to free his trapped foot but Sato is holding on for dear life with his legs. Sato seems to have got his legs back now. Sato wants to improve his position but Deacino is controlling well.
Sato is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sato gets back to full guard.
Sato wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Deacino drops his shoulder and cracks Sato with a huge uppercut! Sato goes down! Can Deacino finish him?
Sato is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Deacino slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sato looking to control.
Sato looking for a sweep. Not yet Sato, not yet. Sato can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Deacino controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sato is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deacino wants to stand but Sato has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Deacino must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Deacino misses the jab. Sato takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Deacino scores with a jab to the body. Sato is breathing heavily. Deacino throws a hook but Sato blocks it. Deacino misses with a jab, cross combination.
Deacino cracks Sato with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Sato tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Deacino pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Sato is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Micheal Deacino! Micheal Deacino retains his lightweight title!
