Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Luis Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brenden Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres's entrance music is Lie, Cheat, & Steal. A fine choice. Luis Torres could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Brenden Abbott's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luis Torres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
46 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brenden Abbott! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torres throws a half hearted mid kick. A telegraphed right hand from Torres misses the target. Abbott flicks out a counter leg kick but Torres steps away. Abbott throws a hook but Torres avoids it easily. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Abbott.
Torres dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Abbott listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Abbott swats away the attempt to clinch by Torres. Torres steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Abbott. Torres scores with a jab to the body. Torres ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Abbott moves away. Abbott misses with a wild body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Torres throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Abbott cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Torres throws a right hand that misses
and Abbott cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Torres loads up on a big right hand but Abbott slips the punch. Abbott looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Torres lands a nice shot that snaps Abbott's head back.
This has been an exciting period of action! Abbott takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Torres checks a leg kick. Torres seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abbott moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Abbott slips under a jab. Abbott lands a nice looking kick to the body. Torres takes a step back to recover. Abbott uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Torres.
Abbott misses with a low kick. Torres connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Torres thumps Abbott with a low kick. Torres gets in close and instigates a clinch. Abbott tries to throw a body punch but Torres avoids it by throwing Abbott back against the ropes. Abbott swings away with an uppercut that misses.

A left hand lands to the body for Torres.
Torres scores with a shot to the side of Abbott's head. Torres blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Torres takes a shot to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Torres misses with a short punch on the inside. A head punch on the inside from Torres fails to land. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Torres.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in the clinch, Torres scores with a nice short uppercut.
It looks like Brenden Abbott has been cut. Abbott misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Torres creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Abbott crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5, yes, he's made it back to his feet. He seems OK so it looks like we're going to continue! Torres swings away with a body shot that misses
and Torres takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Torres scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Abbott doesn't seem bothered though. Abbott lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Torres at a distance.
Abbott looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Torres avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Torres looks to clinch letting Abbott counter with a right hand. Abbott throws an off balance right hand
enabling Torres to counter with a crisp jab. Abbott smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Abbott looks to land a left hand but Torres moved out of range nicely. Abbott walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Abbott is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Luis Torres! After the fight, Luis Torres was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
