And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horace fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jones lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
A good leg kick by Jones.
Jones is looking to clinch but Horace is avoiding it.
Jones lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jones scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Horace moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones throws a half hearted mid kick.
Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones is looking to clinch.
Jones stuffs the takedown.
Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Horace backs up against the cage.
Horace looks gassed!
Horace shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.

Horace slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Horace dodges the punch combination from Jones.

Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Horace to the mat! Horace manages to get full guard.
Jones is looking to stand up but Horace won't let him.
Jones controls from within his opponent's guard.
Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jones working for a submission but Horace is keeping him at bay.
Jones blocks Horace's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jones lands with some strikes.
Horace is looking to get to half guard.

Jones is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Horace has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Horace is looking to escape.
Jones pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones trying to control but Horace is having none of it.

Jones stalks Horace and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Horace's face. Horace staggers backwards, shaken.

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.
Horace is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Horace stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jones.
Jones stuns Horace with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jones lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Jones connects with a high kick.
Horace with a lazy takedown attempt
and Jones counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Horace stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jones.
A head kick from Jones lands but Horace takes it in his stride.
Jones misses with a double jab.
Jones misses with a wild body shot.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Horace pushes him off.
Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Horace sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Horace shoots in but no luck this time.
Carl Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Horace.
Jones tries to clinch but Horace moves out of range.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Horace's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Horace tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Jones has his takedown stuffed

and Horace counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that.

Horace is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jones knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Jones sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Jones misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Horace is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jones makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jones.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Horace's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Jones here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Carl Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Horace is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Horace is very close to passing his half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jones flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Jones manages to get to full guard.
Jones is pulling down on Horace's head to control his posture.

Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Horace at a distance.
Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Horace can do to turn this around?

and Jones counters with a left and a right that stings Horace.
Carl Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
Horace takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Carl Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones throws a right hand that Horace ducks under and follows up with a left that Horace also avoids with ease.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Both fighters circling a little - Jones finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Jones lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Horace counters with a shoot takedown. Jones fights it but they end up in guard.
Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Horace has gone for a leg lock! Jones slips out almost immediately though and dives into Horace's guard.

Horace is looking for a triangle here but Jones uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Horace is trying to improve his position.
Greg Horace has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Carl Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Horace is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Jones lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Horace down.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Horace get back to his feet.
Horace is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones.
