Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bj Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jensen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jumpin' Jack Flash by The Rolling Stones kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jensen throws a head kick but Penn moves out of range.
Jensen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jensen scores a takedown into full mount! Penn tries to hold on but Jensen postures up. Penn manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes. Jensen prevents Penn from improving his position. Jensen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Penn desperately trying to maintain half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jensen connects with a nice short shot to Penn's temple. Jensen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jensen is keen to just control but Penn is a slippery customer. Nice strikes from Jensen there. Jensen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Penn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Penn is trying to control but can't.
Penn is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jensen pulls his head out easily. Jensen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jensen throws a strike but Penn avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Jensen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Penn looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jensen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jensen throwing strikes from guard but Penn blocks nicely. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jensen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jensen fails to land with a series of punches.

Penn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jensen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jensen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Danga de danga de dang - Jensen scores with a four punch combination! Penn circles away from the clinch attempt.
Penn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Penn fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Penn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Nice body kick from Jensen. Penn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jensen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jensen!

Jensen closes the distance and pushes Penn back into the cage. Penn pushes Jensen back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Jensen missing with knees to the body.
Jensen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Penn has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Penn has Jensen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jensen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Jensen landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Jensen as Penn tries to tie him up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Jensen dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Penn blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Jensen wants a takedown but no success here.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bj Penn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jensen clinches but Penn breaks the clinch letting Penn counter with a right hand. Jim Jensen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jensen shoots in and bounces Penn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Penn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Penn keeping full guard, as Jensen tries to pass. Jensen scoring with some ground and pound. Jensen wants to control from the top but Penn keeps moving. Jensen wants to stand but Penn is controlling his posture from full guard. Penn working for a triangle but Jensen defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jensen cracks Penn with a solid left hand. Jensen gets to his feet. Penn looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Penn clinches with his opponent.

Jensen throws a punch but it's blocked by Penn. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Penn takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Jensen lands a nice elbow. Penn tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Penn takes one to the chin there. Jensen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Penn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Penn is looking to control Jensen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Penn avoid being mounted? Jensen winds up and cracks Penn with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Penn has hold of Jensen's hands but Jensen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Penn gets back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jensen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jensen stands up and waves to Penn to follow him. Penn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jensen as he jumps to the side. Penn has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jensen finds it's way round the side to connect with Penn's head. Jensen digs a good hook to Penn's body.

Jensen moves into the clinch. Jensen unloads a knee to the mid-section. Penn lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Jensen using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Jensen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jensen wants to pass the guard but Penn is keeping the position. Jensen won't allow Penn to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jensen is working Penn over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jensen sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Penn doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Jensen paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Penn - great work!
