Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Struve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herisvaldo Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Struve tries to clinch up but Pereira circles away and keeps his distance.

You can see the frustration on Pereira's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Pereira is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Struve asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Struve works to advance to full mount. Pereira defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Struve has control of Pereira's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pereira regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Struve throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Pereira sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Struve is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pereira is just riding it out for now. Struve eventually gives up the hold.

Stefan Struve overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pereira is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stefan Struve.
I think Pereira has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
