Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wilboogie Bur! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
41 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy Cottero! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bur throws a head kick but Cottero moves out of range.

Cottero thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bur if he has to take too many more of those.
Bur stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cottero. Cottero scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Cottero lands with a good body shot. Cottero lands with a nice body punch. Bur takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Bur takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Bur dives in and scores a takedown into Cottero's guard. Cottero kicks Bur off and gets to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bur takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. That's one minute gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Cottero as he connects with a hook. Cottero moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Cottero lands with a thumping leg kick.
Tommy Cottero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cottero gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cottero keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bur's efforts to push away. A right hand to the body from Cottero.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Cottero lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Cottero avoids the elbow strike from Bur, against the cage.

Bur is breathing heavily. Cottero throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Cottero stalling in the clinch.
Cottero scores with a hook to the body. Bur pulls guard effortlessly. Cottero is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bur looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bur can't keep his opponent in guard - Cottero advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cottero is controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cottero is taking a breather. Bur says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Let's hope that Cottero has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Cottero tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bur knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Cottero is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Cottero dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Cottero slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Bur gets off balance looking for a body kick and Bur takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A nice inside leg kick there by Cottero. That's going to slow Bur down. Nice body kick from Cottero. Bur moves in looking to clinch but Cottero pushes him off. Bur doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Bur shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Cottero is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bur is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cottero content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tommy Cottero has got the better of the ground game so far. Cottero has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Cottero.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cottero moves nicely into side control. Cottero controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cottero is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Bur looks calm but he's in trouble here. Cottero gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Bur is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Cottero lets go of the hold and Bur can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tommy Cottero! A relieved looking Tommy Cottero thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
