PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fahad Al Qarni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Qarni comes into the arena with Hells Bells blaring out of the sound system. Don Stewart told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Qarni on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Stewart dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Al Qarni. That did some damage!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Al Qarni lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Stewart has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Stewart and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Stewart does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Al Qarni might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fahad Al Qarni will probably get the nod.

Al Qarni escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stewart gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fahad Al Qarni.
I think Al Qarni has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
