Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Parks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Android Eighteen ! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eighteen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Parks sprawls well initially but Eighteen persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Eighteen is trying to work for a kimura but Parks is defending well.
Parks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Eighteen is working away from the top position though. Parks actively working from the bottom here. Eighteen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Eighteen is trying to control. Parks wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Eighteen is looking for a kimura here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parks trying to hold on to Eighteen 's head to control him but Eighteen postures up.
Eighteen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eighteen is working for a submission of some sort.
Eighteen is pressing down on Parks's thigh, looking to free his foot. Parks is holding on for now. Parks regains full guard. Nicely done. Eighteen trying to control the position from guard on top but Parks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Eighteen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Eighteen wants to control from the top but Parks keeps moving. Parks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eighteen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Parks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Eighteen stands and throws Parks's legs to the side, diving into side control. Eighteen in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Parks is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
