Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kerry Mcpherson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Day is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Psycho Killer. Charles Day will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Day closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Day throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Mcpherson wants to control but Day is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Day gets to his feet. Mcpherson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Day connects with a nice looking jab.
Charles Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Day throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mcpherson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Day is in Mcpherson's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mcpherson has his foot on Day's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Day works his way back into a safe position though.

Day drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Day jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mcpherson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Day gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mcpherson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Day gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Day is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Day scores with a big shot! Mcpherson's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Mcpherson! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

A less than humble Charles Day misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
